The following RecSports affiliated members are eligible to sponsor guests to use Recreational Sports facilities for $10.00 per day for guests age 16 and older. The fee is $5 for guests age 15 and under.
- Currently Enrolled Students
- Faculty/Staff Members
- Retired Faculty/Staff Members
- Interim Students
- Texas Exes
- Community Members
Guest passes entitle non-RecSports members to access all UT recreation facilities on the day the pass is valid. Guest passes may be sold without a specified date however passes are non-transferable and non-refundable. The eligible sponsor must be present and "sponsor" the guest as the guest enters the facility. Both the guest and the sponsor must present a photo ID when entering the facility. Individuals with an expired RS ID card are not eligible to self sponsor or sponsor in guests.
The following individuals are eligible to self-sponsor and purchase a guest pass for their individual use for $10 per day:
- Faculty/Staff with a UT ID
- Current members of the Texas Exes with a current Texas Exes membership card
- Current members of Texas Parents
Guest passes are also available to purchase on-line here. When you arrive at the facility, just present your photo ID to the staff to redeem your guest pass. Your sponsor, who is either a current member of RecSports or a current student will need to present photo identificaiton and agree to sponsor in their guest.
Age Requirements - these are the same policies that RecSports members in these age categories must follow.
Guests - Age 15 and under
- The member parent or adult guardian must remain in the immediate activity area to supervise children at all times
- Age restrictions apply:
- Children age 5 and older must use the appropriate locker room.
- Children must be 14 to use the weight/conditioning rooms.
- Children must be 10 to use the handball, racquetball or squash courts.
- Children are not eligible to use the Climbing Wall.
- Child members must comply with all other applicable rules and regulations regarding use of facilities and equipment.
- Informal recreation activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis with shared-usage rules applying when necessary.
Guests - Age 16 and Older
- A photo ID verifying age is required for individuals age 16 - 17
- Guests ages 16 and 17 must be sponsored by an eligible adult RecSports member who agrees to serve as guardian while the guest is utilizing a RecSports facility.
- Guests must comply with all other applicable rules and regulations regarding use of facilities and equipment.
- Informal recreation activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis with shared-usage rules applying when necessary.
