FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
About the Fitness/Wellness Program

TeXercise & Group Cycling Questions:

How much is a TeXercise Pass? A Cycling Pass? A Combo Pass? Etc?
See Fees page for details.

Please note: Participants MUST purchase a pass to get into all classes - except for "Try Before You Buy". *Passes prorate slightly throughout the semester. Faculty/Staff are eligible for annual passes and the payroll deduction option.

Where do I buy TeXercise, Cycling, COMBO, Aqua, or PRC passes?
Online at www.utrecsports.org or in the Programs Office of Gregory Gym. (2.204)

What is Try Before You Buy?
The first week (check for exact dates) of each semester we run "Try Before You Buy " so participants (students and RecSports members) may try our Cycling & TeXercise classes for FREE! But get there early... classes fill FAST during the preview week!

After I purchase my pass, how do I get into a class?
Once the ID scanner scans your card and sees you have a TeXercise or Cycling (or Combo) pass, ask them for a laminated "boarding pass" to get into that class. You need to give that "boarding pass" to the instructor at the door of the studio when he/she lets you in. ALL participants entering classes MUST give the person at the door a laminated boarding pass to enter. Even during Free Preview Week.

Are Cycling classes part of the TeXercise schedule?
We are excited to offer Group Cycling! This program was implemented in Fall 2007, and is its own program, so Cycling classes are not a part of the TeXercise schedule and require a Cycling or Combo pass to participate. Check out our great schedule of classes and instructors!

Where can I find the most UPDATED TeXercise & Cycling Schedules?
ONLINE. The printed materials are fabulous resources, but the online schedules are always the most up-to-date. So bookmark the page www.utrecsports.org/fitwell and check back often!

How do I learn about the Fitness/Wellness Instructors?
Click on the instructor names (on the schedules) to read a quick bio about all of our great instructors! Also, you can click on "Meet the Instructors" on the Fit/Well homepage for pics.

What is the difference between "Group Cycling" & "Spinning?"
They are the same thing... except the name "Spinning" is trademarked.

How can I apply to become an instructor at UT RecSports?
Click on "Fitness classes" on the top, and then "Become an Instructor" on the left hand orange links to find out more details! Be sure you specify which TYPE of instructor you want to apply for... ex: yoga, fitness, Pilates, cycling, etc.

Are there classes during Spring Break?
Yes... we run a separate "Spring Break Schedule" during that week each Spring semester. Check online close to that time.

When are the classes cancelled?
Go to www.utrecsports.org/fitwell and scroll down the page to find all updated cancellations.
**Cancellations are also posted on all studio doors for each semester.
