FITNESS INSTRUCTORS: (in alphabetical order by last initial)

Alice A.
teaches Zumba, Kickboxing, and Upper Body Blast. She has been teaching since August 2010 and holds certifications of Basic Group Fitness, Zumba, and Kickboxing. She loves teaching and loves getting people excited about working out and staying healthy!

Blaire B. Blaire joined the Fit/Well team in May of 2008 after taking the Instructor Training Series. She is certified through AFAA, Turbokick, and Madd Dogg Spinning. She teaches kickboxing, group strength, abs, and step. She enjoys teaching group fitness because it helps contribute to healthy lifestyles in a very fun way! She loves seeing others challenge themselves in their workouts and hopes they walk away from class feeling accomplished and motivated.
Camila B. Camila teaches Zumba dance and is a certifed Zumba instructor. She is passionate about dancing and Zumba is the perfect combination of fitness and fun. Prepare to bust a move, break a sweat, and party yourself into shape with Zumba!

Sarah B. completed the Instructor Training Series in spring 2012 where she learned how to instruct kickboxing, step, and body sculpting classes. She has been taking TeXercise classes for the past two years and can't wait to teach and motivate participants to have fun and get the most out of every workout in her own classes!
Rachel B. took her first yoga class as a student at UT and is thrilled to be back as an instructor. She received her 200-hour RYT certification in 2010 and has additional training in prenatal and Antigravity yoga. Rachel loves yoga because it meets people where they are, and in her classes she aims to help her students find challenge that leads to growth.
Shannon B. Shannon has been teaching group fitness since 1991. She is ACE certified and loves teaching step, cycle, aqua and different interval formats. What Shannon enjoys most about teaching is for her students to leave feeling successful, pleasantly exhausted, and proud of their accomplishments.
Eryn C.
is a certified cycling and Pilates instructor. She has lead indoor cycling classes since 2003, and in 2006, she began teaching classes and private clients in Pilates mat and Reformer. Eryn believes movement is the cornerstone of a functional, quality life, and she loves watching individuals positively transform their bodies and lives through exercise.
Kate C.
Kate completed the Instructor Training Series spring 2011 where she learned how to teach kickboxing, step, and sculpting. As a new instructor, she is excited to motivate participants to have a fun (and safe) workout. She loves the contagious energy in a group fitness class and hopes to teach a high-intensity class that challenges participants to get the most out of the class.

Robyn D. Robyn began teaching group exercise in 2006 and became part of the UT Fitness/Wellness program in 2008. She holds an AFAA certification and teaches many formats, of which include Kickboxing, Step, Pilates, and Sculpting. Robyn finds it extremely rewarding to help participants enjoy exercise. She is also passionate about helping participants excel and improve their fitness.
new choreography/moves is her favorite thing about Texercise. It's never boring!!

Taylor E. is a certified TurboKick instructor who is also qualified to teach other kickboxing, strength, and step classes. Taylor loves teaching TurboKick and other high energy workouts because she likes to make every workout feel like a party and loves to see everyone in her classes having fun while they're exercising. Taylor also loves getting to know her participants and being able to see them reach their fitness goals!
Q. Estrada. Q Teaches TurboKick, Cycling, Aqua, Yoga/Pilates, Muscle conditioning, and Step. He also has certifications for: Personal Trainer, Weight Management/Sport Nutrition Instruction, Yoga/Pilates, Healthy Lifestyles Coach, Group Fitness, Massage Therapist/Instructor, Life Guard/Instructor. His favorite thing is about teaching: The POSITIVE impact we have on people to lead them to an Fun & Active Healthy Lifestyle!
Tracy F. She joined the Fitness/Wellness Program over 11 years ago in 1996 and teaches cardio classes at the Pickle Research Campus.
Mary F. has been practicing Pliates for over 4 years, and is certified through Peak Pilates Systems to teach Mat and Reformer classes. She has a degree in Exercise Science and is looking to begin Physical Therapy school next summer. She became certified as a Plates instrusctor to combat her background in rehabilitation after working in multiple therapy clinics in the area. She believes that Pilates can be for everyone, and teaches modifications to combat each skill level. Her favorite part about teaching is watching the amazing strength/flexibility gains within just 6 sessions.

Sarah M. F. teaches TeXercise and coached swim. She has a ton of experience in fitness, especially beginning swimming and conditioning. She loves to see her participant's progress and their determination to be healthier and happier.
Emily G.
joined the Fit/Well team after completing the Instructor Training Series in 2010. She is certified in Mad Dogg Spinning and group fitness by AFFA. She loves group exercise because she thinks it is a fun and exciting way to get a great workout without ever getting bored. She loves how hard it is to get discouraged in a group exercise class because of the constant encouragement of those around you.
Ashley H. Ashley has been a part of the Fit/Well team and teaching since 2005. She is certified through ACE and AFAA, and teaches step, kickboxing, body sculpt, and coreboard classes here. Ashley's favorite thing about teaching is that she enjoys motivating others and making fitness fun!
Susanna H.
Susanna began teaching in Summer 2008. She has taught Step, Cardio Combo, Total Body Sculpt, Pilates, and Group Cycling. Susanna is AFFA, TurboKick and Spinning certified. Her favorite thing about Texercise is the enthusiastic participants who give her the energy to get through a 60 minute cardio class!
Alice H. joined the Fit/Well team in 2012 but has been teaching fitness since 2008. She is AFFA certifed and has experience teaching step, kickboxing, aqua, and yoga. Her favorite part of teaching is being able to get her students to have fun while helping them get healthy!

Susan K.
Susan has been a Fit/Well team member since 2006 and has been teaching since 1992. She is certified through AFAA, AEA, ACE, YogaFit, PiYo, SCW Aqua, and Fitour Cycling. She teaches aqua, body sculpt, step, yoga, kickboxing, and hi-lo. She loves to teach, and she loves to teach people to love exercise!

Andrea L. teaches Zumba. She got her Zumba certification Spring of 2012 and was part of the 2012 Instrucor Training Series at UT. She loves Zumba because it is a fun and dynamic for of exercise.
David L.
joined the Fit/Well team in 2008. After working as a Personal Fitness Instructor and Certified Personal Trainer, David joined the team of instructors in 2010. He teaches a high-intensity, athletically and functionally oriented boot camp. His workouts are designed to take advantage of the motivation of working out together and challenging oneself to get a complete, fully-body workout.

Ingle L. joined the Fit/Well team in 2012. She is qualified to teach step, strength, and kickboxing. What she loves most about teaching is being able to motivate participants to reach their fitness goals through challenging and enjoyable classes.
Pam LB.
Pam has been a great part of the Fitness/Wellness Program since 1998! She teaches Ballet Body series as well as Pilates classes here. Pam is certified through ACE and PiYo.
Laura L-W.
Laura joined the Fitness/Wellness Program in 2008. She teaches a variety of formats including cycling, kickboxing, step aerobics, and total body conditioning. In 2009, she participated in the Personal Fitness Instructor Program and she taught the Instructor Training Series for UTRecsports in 2011. She is certified with AFAA and Mad Dogg Spinning. She loves the challenge of making each class dynamic, effective, and safe for participants at every fitness level.

Elena M. joined the Fit/Well team in Summer 2012 after particpating in the Instructor Training Series. She well be seeking her AFAA certification in the Fall of 2012. Elena enjoys teaching a variety of fitness formats including step, dynamic strength, and dance sculpt. The thing Elena loves most about teaching group fitness is providing a positive, energetic, and motivational environment so that participants can not only get a great workout, but have fun while they do it.
Lauren M-D. Lauren began teaching group exercise in 2009 and joined the UT Fitness/Wellness program in 2012. She is certified through AFAA, as well as Zumba and Schwinn Cycling. Lauren loves to teach classes in any format including strength, step aerobics, zumba, cycling, and athletic training. She has a passion for fitness and loves sharing her passion with her participants!

Jessica M.
Jessica joined the Fit/Well Program in 2005 and has been teaching since 2001. She is certified through ACE and teaches step and body sculpting here. She loves how energized the class and participants make her feel... it lasts all day!
Whitney M.
Whitney has been a great part of the Fit/Well team and has been teaching since early 2004. She teaches step, boot camp, cardio combo, sculpting, and group cycling classes here. She is certified through AFAA & Mad Dogg Spinning. Whitney's favorite thing about teaching is the participants!

Sofia M. teaches because she enjoys being able to help others achieve their goals regarding fitness. What Sofia loves most about teaching is the rewarding feeling she gets knowing she is participating in activities she loves to do with others and having a great time doing so! Sofia is currently working towards her TurboKick certification in the summer.
Andrea N. Andrea joined the Fit/Well team after taking the Instructor Training Series Spring 2010. She teaches upper body blast and ab lab. She is excited to teach group fitness because she wants to help encourage fun, healthy habits and thinks group exercise is a great way to do that.
Maryam N.
Maryam joined the Fit/Well team in Spring 2009 after taking Instructor Training Series. She is currently planning on obtaining her AFAA primary group fitness certification in September and her AFAA Kickboxing certification thereafter. She loves teaching because she wants to give the participants a good workout and the feeling of progress towards their fitness goals.

Lindsay N. has a passion for living with grace. Joseph Pilate's motto "movement heals" is crucial to our sedentary lives. Using the Pilates Reformer's gentle pulleys you can activate muscles without injury and apply new strength to your daily routines. You'll have better posture and the ability to launch into new areas of exercise you never dared believe possible. She is certified as a Pilates instructor through DK Body Balancing: Pilates Mat & Equipment Certification. She worked for Ann Arnoult Pilates Studio and True Form Pilates, both in Austin, TX.
Lucia O.
She joined our program in 2005 and teaches step, sculpting, cardio express, dynamic strength and aqua classes here. The thing she enjoys most about teaching classes is being able to help participants get healthier and enthusiastic about a more gratifying life-style. She also loves the music and the energy boost.
Georgina P. Georgina joined our program in the summer of 2010. She teaches Step, Sculpt/Toning, Hi/Lo, and Mat Pilates and has 25+years of continuous teaching experience! Georgina has an AFAA certification as well as numerous YMCAUSA instructor and Trainer level certifications. As an instructor she loves to see participants improve their skills.
Katie P. has been teaching for 4 1/2 years and has AFAA group exercise, Madd Dog Spinning, and Turbokick certifications. She teaches cycling, kickboxing, sculpting and core classes. She loves teaching because it allows her to share her passion for health and fitness with others. She likes to challenge her classes and help people reach and surpass their fitness goals.

Jane P. joined he Fit/Well program in spring 2012 after completing the Instructor Training Series. She is looking forward to teaching Zumba and Group Fitness.
Lance P. Lance joined the Fit/Well as personal fitness instructor in 2007 and then as a personal trainer in 2009. He then began teaching group cycling and circuit classes in 2010. Lance likes to challenge participants of all levels in his classes with a variety of modifications to fit everyone's unique capabilities. As a former Texas 4000 cyclist, Lance tries to make each and every one of his classes as challenging and rewarding as an outdoor ride would be.
Casey R.
Casey joined the Fit/Well team in Summer 2009. She teaches strength and kickboxing classes and obtained her AFAA primary group exercise certification in September 2009. She loves to make classes challenging and enjoyable so participants love and look forward to their workout.
Moriah R. Moriah joined the Fit/Well team Spring 2011 and is passionate about fitness. She can't wait to motivate her participants to reach their fitness goals in a fun environment in which they leave the class feeling accomplished and motivated. Moriah's favorite thing about teaching is that she loves the energy and showing people fun and effective ways to get fit.
Danielle S. After being an avid "TeXerciser," Danielle decided to audition to become an instructor. She joined our team and started teaching in 2007. She teaches sculpting, step, and kickboxing, and loves seeing the enthusiasm she puts into teach infuse participants with energy and pwer for their most challenging workout. She is certified through AFAA, TurboKick, and Mad Dogg Spinning.
Helen S.
Helen teaches a variety of formats including hatha yoga, yoga sculpt,mat pilates, pilates sculpt, and retired faculty exercise classes. She has certifications in personal training from ACE, weight loss management specialist certifications from ACE and SCW, Levels 1,2,and 3 yoga
certifications from yoga fit, PiYo certification, certified boxing instructor, certified physical education teacher, and holds a degree in Kinesiology from UT. Her favorite thing about teaching UT rec sports is the participants, greatenergy and variety!

Jenny S. is a new group fitness instructor who enjoys teaching step classes and strength training classes. She completed the Instructor Training Series at UT and is in the process of receiving her ACE certification. Her favorite part of being a fitness instructor is using fun, high energy workouts to inspire class particpants.
Ayshe T.
primarily teaches spin, boot camp and sculpting classes. She has her spin certification through Mad Dogg Athletics and group excercise certification through AFAA. There are many things she loves about teaching group exercise but the most gratifying feeling is when people tell her they really pushed themselves and felt like they got a good work-out. She strives for that kind of feedback every class.

Ranny T.
Ranny teaches group fitness and is looking forward to getting a turbokick certification Summer 2011. She loves teaching fitness because she loves to watch others have fun while becoming happier and healthier!
Mark W: Mark joined the Fitness/Wellness Program in 2005 and has been teaching for 6 years. He is certified through AFAA and teaches step, body sculpting, boot camp, cardio combo, and circuit training. His favorite thing about teaching is sharing his years of training and talents with others to help them with their personal fitness.
Joanna W. joined the Fit/Well staff in 2008. She has been teaching classes since 1991 and personal training since 1998. Joanna teaches Yoga, Group Cycling, and Kickboxing, and also is a Personal Trainer for RecSports. Joanna has an MS in Exercise Physiology, is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level for the Yoga Alliance, and is a certified ACSM Exercise Specialist. Joanna strives to make her classes accessible, enjoyable, and challenging so that participants gain confidence working toward their fitness goals.
Signe W Signe joined the Fit/Well team in May 2009. She is a certified Personal Trainer with NCSF and recently expanded her love of exercise with certifications to teach yoga, group fitness and Zumba. She loves sharing the joy of movement with class participants.

MIND/BODY INSTRUCTORS: (in alphabetical order by last initial)

Byron B Byron teaches Vinyasa yoga. He obtained his 200 RYT certification from Yoga Yoga in Summer 2010. He likes to incorporate fun music, dancing and a challenging and fun asana practice into his class
Lana B Lana joined the Fit/Well team in April 2009. She has been practicing yoga for 11 years. She loves being able to share her experience and to see peoples' individual yoga practices evolve, as all accomplishments count - big or small.

Jessica B. teaches Hatha yoga for UT RecSports. She is a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200 hour level and has been practicing and/or teaching for three years. She is passionate about making yoga with its many benefits accessible to everyone and about educating people about making healthy choices for the body, mind, and spirit. What she loves most about teaching yoga is watching her students become healthier and more full of joy from the beginning of class to the end and from week to week.
Karin C.
Karin began teaching Pilates mat and equipment classes in 2006 and is certified through Stillpoint Pilates Training. Her favorite thing about teaching Pilates is that it's fun and challenging to learn how to use the body's natural logic, and in the process people discover they're looking good and feeling great!
Kirsten C.
Kirsten teaches Vinyasa Yoga and has the 200 hour yoga certification through Yoga Alliance, plus additional training at Yoga Journal Conferences with the following internationally reknowned teachers -- Shiva Rea, Dharma Mittra, Ana Forest, Tias Little, Sarrron Gannon and David Love, and Eddie Modestini and Nicki Doane. She has been practicing yoga for 12 years and enjoys helping her students to become more aware of their bodies and presence in the world, and to watch them grow in their yoga practice.

Sarah F. is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, who began studying yoga 11 years ago and has been teaching yoga full-time for 5 years. Her goal is to motivate the physical yoga practices with the much broader spirit of classical Raja yoga (the practice of cultivating the mind) so that students can begin to peel back the layers that hold each person from reaching his or her true potential. Sarah teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Prenatal, and Restorative Yoga classes for beginners through advanced students, as well as a unique series called Dharma Yoga Shiva Namaskar Vinyasas.
Brittney H. Brittney teaches a vinyasa flow style class, and has been practicing yoga for five years. She received her 200 hour RYT certification in 2010 and teaches on a weekly basis. She loves to challenge her students, and to share in their joys when they accomplish things they never imagined possible. For her, yoga is more than exercise, it is a way of life!

Eleanor H. Eleanor began teaching yoga in 1989, and as founder of Yin/Yang Yoga, taught at UT Austin in 1997 for Informal classes. Since 2002, Eleanor, E-RYT 500, has provided yoga teacher training in the US and abroad. She provides yoga teacher training and continuing education hours for massage therapist with Alternative Healing Arts Therapy. Eleanor is a Certified Peak Pilates Instructor, MVE instructor, Certified Iyengar yoga, and a licensed massage therapist. In New York City, she studied many forms of dance at Alvin Ally, Martha Graham Studio, the Joffery Ballet Studio, DanceSpace, Merce Cunningham and Charles Moore Studio.

Emili K
teaches Power, Flow, and Vinyasa based hatha yoga. She has her 200 hr RYT in power flow yoga, has completed a 200 hr hot yoga training program, and has attended Tthai massage and relationship yoga workshops. She has 3 years experience teaching hatha yoga and Children's yoga. She loves when her students share their life changing experiences brought through their yoga practice!
Lisa K
Lisa has 5 years of teaching experience and has been part of the Fit/Well team since 2004. She is certified in NETA Pilates, Living Yoga 200-hour program, AEA, Healthways, and other various certifications. She teaches yoga, Piliates, aqua, and belly dancing here, and loves observing the positive transformation of participants while they deepen their practice.
Stephanie K.
Health an fitness are two of Stephanie's favorite aspects of life, and she truly believes in empowering others to enjoy the healthy lifestyle journey as well. Teaching others allows her to spread this excitement, and she is looking forward to joining the Texercise team. Stephanie holds a NASM and Power Pilates Mat certification.

Laura M. completed her 200-hour Vinyasa certification with Gioconda Yoda and is involved with organizations in Austin that bring yoga to folks who wouldn't otherwise have access to classes. Laura regularly attended Fitness/Wellness classes as a UT graduate student, and she is thrilled to offer yoga classes to the UT community.
Gaye M.Gaye has been a part of our program since 2006. She has been teaching for 7 years and teaches Pilates and Yoga-Pilates Fusion classes - as well as Pilates Reformer series. She is certified through Core Connections, and her favorite thing about teaching is helping people discover what their bodies are capable of doing - and how great they can feel!
Marina P.
Marina has joined the Fit/Well program in June 2010. She has completed more than 300 hours of yoga teacher training and is currently working toward her 500-hour certification through Yoga Alliance. As a teacher of Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga, Marina loves to create fun and supportive environment for her students to improve their physical strength, flexibility, and emotional well-being.
Meleah R. has been teaching for 14 years and joined the Fit/Well Program in the summer of 2007. Meleah teaches Pilates and group cycling classes here at UT RecSports. Certifications include: NSCA-CSCS, The Method Pilates, AFAA Instructor & Personal Trainer, Mad Dogg Spinning Instructor, SCW Pilates and Yoga. Her favorite thing about teaching here is watching the students develop strength and confidence.

Megan T. is a Level II Peak Certified Pilates Instructor as well as, a Life and Wellness Coach. She has been teaching Pilates and coaching since 2001.
During her classes, Megan loves to inspire and motivate her participants to empower their mind and body so they can achieve optimal results to quickly achieve their fitness goals.

Stephanie V.H. For Stephanie, yoga is so much more than a great workout; she approaches it as complete mind/body/soul work - while having lots of fun! She truly believes yoga has something special to offer everyone and is grateful to get to share it with others. A former UT student herself, Stephanie is excited to be back and sharing yoga with fellow longhorns. She recieved her RYT 200 at Black Swan Yoga here in Austin and now also teaches several classes a week at Be Yoga.
Joanna W.

Terry W. is a Level 1 Peak Certified Pilates Instructor who recently completed Level 2, and has been teaching for the last 4 years. Terry has been a registered nurse for over 33 years, and has been involved with health, wellness and fitness for over 25 years. While teaching, Terry's calming motivation offers a core connection for strength, flexibility, and a total mind-body experience.

AQUA INSTRUCTORS: (in alphabetical order by last initial)

Becky B.Becky joined the Fit/Well team in 2007 and has been teaching for 26 years. She is certifiedthrough AFAA, AEA, Nautilus Spinning, USWF, Kickboxing, and Zumba. Becky teaches aqua classes here, and her favorite thing about teaching is seeing how participants progress over time and how much fun they have.

Linda C. After taking deep water aerobics for a year and a half at RecSports, Linda just loved it and got certified with AEA in April of 2008. She has some sub experience at UT in both deep water and regular water aerobics. She a B.S. in Biology and has taught the Beginning Bellydance class with RecSports since Jan. of 2007.

Tina TM. Tina has been teaching aquatics since 2001 and joined the
Fit/Well team in early 2006. She is certified through USWFA and her favorite
thing about teaching is meeting new people and encouraging all participants
with their fitness goals.

DANCE INSTRUCTORS: (in alphabetical order by last initial)

Rebecca B. joined the Fit/Well team in Fall 2012. She has been trained in a variety of dance styles including latin ballroom, ballet, jazz, and comtemporary, and is currently a dance major at the University of Texas. As a new instructor, she is excited to encourage participants by combining her love for dance and fitness for a great workout.

Connie C. Connie teaches ZUMBA and even brings the party into the water teaching Aqua ZUMBA. This series is a great way to get in shape and have fun doing it. She loves teaching these classes because it's the most fun you'll ever have in an exercise class...the time just flies by and you'll see results quickly. Connie has been teaching dance for the past 15 years and is certified in ZUMBA, Aqua ZUMBA, and AFAA Group Fitness.
Linda C: Linda joined the Fitness/Wellness Program in early 2007 and has been teaching Bellydance for 29 years. Her favorite thing about teaching is the eager-to-learn students, her fellow instructors, and the fact that all those she has met here are just the nicest people!
Natalie C. Natalie is a certified Zumba instructor and has been dancing since the age of 3. She joined the Fit/Well staff in Spring 2011 and is excited to be able to share her passion for dance-fitness with others. In addition to teaching Zumba, Natalie is a full-time staff member in the McCombs School of Business and encourages her fellow UT staff and faculty to give Zumba a try.
Meryl C: Meryl joined the Fit/Well team in May 2009. She teaches a combination of jazz and hip hop moves that will give you a great work out. She trained in ballet, jazz, and artistic gymnastics for 12 years. She loves to teach dance because it is her passion and a fun way to let loose and keep fit.

Yasmina C: Yasmina teaches Zumba Dance and is Zumba Instructor Certified. She loves that Zumba is a fun, dynamic, and sexy way to get an amazing work out. She reminds her studeents to not forget to smile and to work those hips!

Andrea F. has enjoyed dancing since she was five, as well as being part of a dance academy in Nicaragua. Her love for fitness and dance combine into an explosive and fun Zumba class. She is thrilled to be a certified Zumba instructor and provide an hour of relaxation and an awesome workout.
Abi G:
Abi teaches Zumba Dance and is a certified Zumba instructor. She has choreographed for dance teams and has taught elementary, junior high, and high school girls. She loves teaching Zumba because it is a great way to get in shape. She loves helping people feel great and Zumba is an easy and fun way to do so!
Cyndy G:
Cyndy joined the Fit/Well team in 2007 and teaches Belly Dancing. She loves seeing the progress of our students and having fun while getting a workout.
Katelyn J:Katelyn is AFAA certified and has been trained in a wide variety of dance styles, including jazz, modern, lyrical, ballet and hip hop. She is currently a member of STEEL Dance Company at the University of Texas and also dances at The Butler Community School of Ballet Austin. By expanding the dance community of the Fitness/Wellness Program, Katelyn hopes to inspire others to love dance as a physical art that also encompasses dynamic movement.

Rob L: Rob teaches Zumba dance and is certified in AquaZumba (Zumba under water), ZumbAtomic (Zumba for kids), and is also AFAA certified. He has been instructing Zumba on a private basis and loves that he gets to share his enthusiasm for dance and fitness while having a blast.
Campbell M: Campbell joined the Fit/Well team in Fall 2008. She has been teaching a
variety of dance forms for many years and enjoys incorporating ideas from
ballet, jazz, yoga, and more into her classes. Campbell loves sharing her
passion for dance and thinks it's a great way to get a workout!

Elena P.
Elena joined the Fit/Well team in 2011 teaching Salsa Aerobics. She has been dancing since she was 4 and is passionate about choreographing and teaching dance. She thinks incorporating Latin dance moves and fun music into workouts is such an awesome way to stay healthy. She makes it her goal to get everyone else as pumped up about dance as she is!

Our Group Cycling Program at UT RecSports started in August 2007.


Flor B:Flor has been teaching here since 2007. Her favorite thing about teaching is motivating people and seeing them get started with fitness - and seeing them make working out a habit!

Megan C. is a new Fit/Well cycling instructor. After taking classes here at UT, she decided to get her Mad Dogg Spinning and start teaching. She is very enthusiastic about cycling and can't wait to make fun and empowering, but challenging workouts for her students!

Q. Estrada:
Q has been part of the Fit/Well Program since 2006 and has been teaching for 17 years. He teaches yoga, fitness, and cycling classes here. He is certified through ACC, AFIT, TurboKick, PiYo, Cycling, Massage, and by SCW in several areas. Q's favorite thing about teaching is the positive effect WE have on people's lives and the way THEY inspire US!
Guli F:
Guli has been doing group cycling as a participant since 2004 and is thrilled to be teaching at RecSports. She works at UT-University Health Services as a health education coordinator by day and rides her bike and roller skates around town by night.
Alexa G.D.
Alexa is a Master's student in the journalism school and teaches group cycling. After taking cycling classes for five years, she now holds a Spinning certification and loves helping others improve their strength, stamina and endurance on the bike.

Marlo G. is a graduate student at UT and teaches group cycling. She has a SPIN certification through Mad Dogg Athletics and many years of experience on the bike. Marlo loves the awesome community in the UT cycling classes and motivating people to improve their health in a fun and challenging environment.

Susanna H: She began teaching in Summer 2008. She has taught Step, Cardio Combo, Total Body Sculpt, and Pilates, and in 2009 started teaching Group Cycling. Susanna is TurboKick and Spinning certified. Her favorite thing about teaching is the enthusiastic participants who give her the energy to get through a great class!
Linda L:Linda joined the Fit/Well team in May of 2010 and has been an avid cycler for three years. She loves the group dynamic of cycling and being able to motivate people to work hard and discover a new love for cycling.

Meleah R:
Meleah has been teaching for 14 years and joined the Fit/Well team in 2007. Meleah teaches Pilates and group cycling classes here at UT RecSports. Certifications include: NSCA-CSCS, The Method Pilates, AFAA Instructor & Personal Trainer, Mad Dogg Spinning Instructor, SCW Pilates and Yoga. Her favorite thing about teaching here is watching the students develop strength and confidence.

Chris M. teaches group cycling. He's been a bicycle enthusiast since his teens, presented cycling-related research at international conferences, and recently completed his Spinning instructor certification. He enjoys how teaching offers new perspectives and opportunities to students.
Whitney M:
Whitney has been teaching fitness classes here since 2004 and teaching cycling since2007. She is certified through AFAA and Mad Dogg Spinning. Whitney's favorite thing about teaching is the participants!

Shawn P. Shawn is new to the Fit/Well team and is so excited to pass her love for cycling along to others. She has been an avid triathlete for many years and hopes to motivate people to push themselves to new limits. She believes that the most important thing while exercising is to have fun and enjoy what you are doing.
Haley P.:Haley joined the Fit/Well team in 2010. She is a certified cycling instructor and also teaches aqua. She loves the opportunity to share and teach her love for exercise and bumpin' music!
Lance P.: Lance joined the Fit/Well as personal fitness instructor in 2007 and then as a personal trainer in 2009. He then began teaching group cycling and circuit classes in 2010. Lance likes to challenge participants of all levels in his classes with a variety of modifications to fit everyone's unique capabilities. As a former Texas 4000 cyclist, Lance tries to make each and every one of his classes as challenging and rewarding as an outdoor ride would be.

Alexis S. is a Group Cycling instructor. She recieved her Spinning certification through Madd Dogg Athletics, Inc. She also cycles at Mecca Gym and Spa. She loves taking cycle classes in other cities. Her favorite location is Maui, Hawaii. Her favorite aspect about teaching is the daily challenge to motivate a student to set ambitous fitness goals.
Katie S: Katie has been an enthusiastic Texercise participant and avid cyclist for the past four years. Katie loves the UT community and appreciates the energetic and accessible environment that the Fitness/Wellness Program offers. May it be in a group cycling class or on her daily bike commute, Katie is excited about teaching cycling as a part of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, Austin-style.

Katie T: Katie has been a part of the Cycling Program since 2008. She loves that cycling provides her with the opportunity to motivate, challenge and encourage participants to meet fitness and life style goals

Jordie W. is a biology student at UT and teaches cycling. She just got her SPIN certification through Madd Dogg and has 6 years of experience in taking SPIN classes, however, this is her first year teaching. Jordie's favorite thing about teaching is helping people live an active lifestyle and attaining goals..
