RecSports hires instructors each semester through an interview and audition process.
We conduct major auditions in April each year. We do accept applications throughout the year, and may or may not be hiring at the time of application.

The following are offered in Spring semester only and may not be offered every year.
Fitness Instructor Training Series
Learn how to teach group fitness classes through this comprehensive training series! No previous experience necessary. Learn how to count and cue music, the necessary elements of a fitness class, how to teach multiple formats, and how to use and teach proper form and technique. Please note: you must be able to attend all sessions. This series serves as a foundation to seek a national group fitness certification. This series is not designed for those wanting to learn to become mind/body or group cycling instructors.
Yoga Instructor Training Series
This informative series provides aspiring yoga instructors with the tools to create and teach safe, fun, dynamic yoga classes. It will cover safety, cueing and execution of proper form in yoga poses, transitions and modifications, class formats, communication skills, and much more. Please note: you must be able to attend all sessions. This series is not a certification and is not designed for experienced yoga instructors. Participants MUST have experience taking 2 or more semesters of yoga classes prior to this series.
Pilates Instructor Training Series
Interested in learning to teach Pilates? This series was created to teach individuals the fundamentals, alignment, movement, and basic philosophy behind the Pilates method. Please note: you must be able to attend all sessions. This series is not a certification and is not designed for experienced Pilates instructors. Participants MUST have experience taking 1 or more semesters of Pilates classes prior to this series.
