RecSports now offers UT Faculty/Staff non-member pricing for access to massage services.
Massage and Spa Services offered in the relaxed setting of the Wellness Center on the lower level of Gregory Gym
UT RecSports offers an incredible massage program with an array of affordably priced massage and spa treatments performed by Licensed Massage Therapists. The massage area includes a reception area, seating for relaxation prior to your service and three spacious rooms. Services include chair massage, table massage with a variety of of available upgrades such as aroma therapy, deep tissue and hot towel.
Arranging your massage service
Simply call 471-3116 or stop by the Programs/Membership Office in Gregory Gym 2.204 Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm to schedule your appointment.
Purchase your massage certificate(s) in the Programs/Membership Office Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm or in the Gregory Gym Store, located in the lower level of Gregory Gym during Gym Store hours. For Gym Store hours, click here.
NON-MEMBERS - on the day of your appointment
Present your photo ID card and sign in with the Building Coordinator at the front desk of Gregory Gym.
Present your photo ID to purchase your non-member certificate in the Gym Store.
Present your certificate(s) to your therapist at your appointment.
MEMBERS - on the day of your appointment
Present your valid UT ID card or RecSports ID card for entrance in to Gregory Gym.
Purchase your cerficiate(s) in the Gym Store.
Present your certificate(s) to your therapist at your appointment.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- In the event that you will need written documentation concerning an appointment, RecSports requires arrangements be made two weeks prior to the initial visit and each subsequent visit; additional fee(s) may be required.
- Walk-ins are taken, on weekdays, but it is best to make an appointment since our services are very popular and some of the specialty services require additional set-up time.
- Weekend times are available by appointment only and require a one-hour minimum service.
- If you have to cancel or need to change your appointment, please do so as soon as possible to allow us to schedule others. For weekend appointments, please contact our office by 5pm on Fridays.

Massage Descriptions
Table Massages
30-minutes: Members $33, Non-members $43
60-minutes: Members $55, Non-members $65
90-minutes: Members $80, Non-member: $90
Each massage session is tailored to your personal needs to relieve tension and stress, improve circulation and address aches and pains as appopriate, leaving you feeling relaxed. Our highly experienced therapists offer a wide variety of techniques and modalities including Swedish massage, deep massage, sports massage, injury recovery and more. Table massage is available in 30, 60 and 90 minute increments.
Hot Stone Addition $15 (Only available with 90-minute table massage)
Add Hot Stone to any 90 minute table massage. Massage therapists use smooth, heated stones enhanced with essential oils as an extension of their hands, allowing them to work at deeper levels with lingering heat. Hot Stone requires preparation, so please let us know when you schedule your 90-minute appointment that you desire hot stone.
Deep Tissue Upgrade $5
For those who require a deeper touch, enjoy more pressure or to address and relieve severe tension in the muscles. Please note: deep tissue work varies greatly and can result in a "work-out" type soreness for a day or two after your massage, which is normal. It is not a suggested upgrade for your first massage.
Aromatherapy Upgrade $5
Scent has the power to move us in many different ways and essential oils have healing benefits. Enhance your massage with your choice of scented lotions or oils; consult your therapist for suggestions. Selections include single note oils such as lavender,
orange and rosemary, or special blends like stress relief, relaxation, or muscle comfort.
Hot Towel Upgrade $5
Add a hot, steamy towel compress to your table massage to ease sore muscles or enhance relaxation. Towels are typically applied to the back and neck, but can be used to address a specific area, like biceps or hamstrings, upon request.

30-minute Herbal Wrap
Members $33, Non-members $43
Perfect alone or the perfect ending to your massage! This aromatic heat treatment is achieved by wrapping the body in linens steamed
in fragrant herbs followed by a luxurious face massage and alternating hot and cold chamomile cloths to the forehead. This
treatment helps to remove toxins and impurities, but best of all, it is calming beyond belief! Appointments for this service are recommended.
30-minute Paraffin Wax Treatment
Members $33, Non-members $43
Paraffin wax heat therapy provides intensive moisture therapy that nourishes skin while penetrating heat increases circulation, eases
aching joints, relaxes stiff muscles, and leaves skin soft with a radiant and healthy appearance. Our paraffin wax is a perfect treat for hands or feet, a viable treatment for joint or muscle pain or a wonderful
addition to your massage. Service includes massage of the area being treated with paraffin. Appointments for this service are recommended.
60-minute Foot Treatment
Members $55, Non-members $65
Sit back and relax with this soothing foot treatment. Service includes a footbath and soak, exfoliation and mask, and foot and lower leg massage. This treatment ends with a paraffin wax treatment for the feet. It includes a hydrating hand massage during the foot soak. Appointments for this service are recommended.
15-minute Chair Massage
Members $15, Non-members $25
Chair massage is performed in a specially designed chair and focuses on the neck, back, shoulders, arms, and hands. Since no
removal of clothing is necessary, it allows you to enjoy the benefits of massage in a shorter period of time. Chair massage is a
great pick-me-up between classes or a perfect break from a stressful day at work.

Mobile Massage $60 per hour/per therapist
General Information
RecSports massage therapists
are available for on-site chair massage at your location, whether it is at your office or at a special event. On-site chair massage is a unique, inexpensive gift and a great way to show appreciation or simply provide a refreshing break. It is also beneficial to your health and increases work productivity. Programs may be set up weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or simply for special occasions or one time events.
Mobile Massage requires a one-hour minimum service time. The fee for Mobile Massage is $60 per hour per therapist. On-site chair massage is performed in a specially designed chair and focuses on the neck, shoulders, back, arms and hands while the participant remains fully clothed. The amount of time per person is at your discretion. One therapist can accommodate 5 participants for 10 minutes each in one hour or one therapist can accommodate 10 participants for 5 minutes each in one hour.
Parking Arrangements for Therapists: We ask that you make arrangements for guaranteed parking for the therapists requested. If you are unable to do so, we can provide parking arrangements for a $20 fee per event.
Mobile Massage Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 business hours in advance of the event. A 50% cancellation fee will apply to cancellations made in less than 24 business hours.
