mark L. hart, jr. ENDOWED scholarship

Texas Cowboys logoKappa Sigma fraternity logo

Mark Hart was one of the truly great intramural athletes of the 60s at The University of Texas. He competed for his fraternity, Kappa Sigma, and in law school for the legendary Legal Eagles. He quarterbacked the Kappa Sigs and Eagles to many victories. He was also a great softball and volleyball player and track athlete and was named 13 times to All-Intramural teams in these sports. Mark was active in the Texas Cowboys, earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and subsequently graduated with honors from the UT School of Law, where he served as associate editor of the Texas Law Review. After law school, he joined Vinson & Elkins in Houston and then, a few years later, moved back to his hometown of Ft. Worth where he became a founder of the firm of Kelly Hart and Hallman LLP. Mark and his wife, Adele, have three grown children, all of whom are graduates of the University of Texas.

We invite you to join us in this exciting endeavor to honor Mark’s legacy and give back to a program that shaped not only his experience at the University, but also his life. Please join me and other friends of Mark Hart in creating this special Endowed Scholarship. Below is information about this scholarship and how to contribute.

Sincerely,

Dan Settle, Frank Van Court, Joe Bill Watkins
