Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR & AED (combo course) is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver® Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certification card valid for 2 years.

American Red Cross® Lifeguard Training Skills Pre Test: In order to register for the Lifeguard Training course you must have completed and passed one of the Lifeguard Training Skills Tests below.
Fee: $15/25

The Skills Test includes successful completion of the following:
- Swim 300-yards continuously (not timed) – participants must be proficient in and demonstrate front crawl, breaststroke and rhythmic breathing
- Tread water for 2 continuous minutes without support and using legs only
- Retrieve a 10lb. brick from the bottom of the pool and then swim 20 yards with the brick without goggles in under 100 seconds

American Red Cross® Lifeguard Training involves classroom learning and hands-on practice designed to train and educate individuals to be lifeguards. Course elements include water and land rescue skills, first aid for injuries and sudden illnesses, spinal injury management, swimmer and facility surveillance and CPR/AED and emergency care. Lifeguarding and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certifications are valid for two years. To register for the Lifeguard Training course you must have completed and passed a Lifeguard Training Skills Test, listed above.
*Before attending the Lifeguard Training - be sure to print a copy of the Lifeguarding Manual, or download a copy to a laptop and bring that to the course.

GuardStart Youth Camp: for boys and girls ages 11-14 with advanced swimming skills who want to develop lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and first aid skills. Your child must be able to:
- Swim 25 yards of front crawl and breaststroke
- Tread water for 1 minute
- Float on back for 30 seconds
- Sign up online

American Heart Association (AHA) Skills Tests are the hands-on sessions of an AHA eLearning course. Participants must have already completed an online AHA Heartsaver® or BLS course and have a certificate of completion. Upon successful completion of the skills test, participants will receive a certification card. Please note that participants are required to submit a copy of their online certificate of completion upon registering for an AHA Skills Test (no exceptions). To take an online AHA course please visit www.onlineaha.org.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. One and two rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant is covered, including bag-mask techniques, rescue breathing and choking. This course does not cover first aid skills. Certification is with the American Heart Association® and is valid for 2 years.
