Recognition of intramural champions has been an important aspect of the overall program since the Men's Intramural Program was established in 1916. In its earliest form, men's champions received an orange jersey embroidered with the year, departmental logo and the designation Texas. Many changes to the awards program have taken place over the years, including the awarding of gold medals, trophies, silver belt buckles and T-shirts.

Current Awards Program

• Intramural Champion T-shirt
  All 1st place champions of team, individual, dual, special event and weekend tournaments receive a RecSports Intramural T-shirt.
  
• Wall of Fame Picture
  All 1st place and runners-ups in team sports also are invited to have their picture taken for the historic Intramural Wall of Fame, which is on display in Gregory Gym.
