General questions about Texas Cup Soccer? Consult the Rules Packet and Information Packet, for playing rules and other important details. Still have questions? Email intramural@utrecsports.org
*The Rules and Information Packet is available. Please ensure that everyone on your team knows the rules!
* Online roster submission system for all IM Team Sports- It is available online after you have registered and paid for your team. Information and detailed instructions can be found at our Online Submission webpage.
*Due to the limit on the number of Texas Cup Soccer teams, participants must choose to play on either a men's team OR a coed team. You may not play ON BOTH! This allows for the maximum amount of different participants the opportunity to play.
Can University of Texas Men’s and Women’s Soccer Club members play?
• Yes, but they are limited to two (2) total players.
• This includes all players/coaches listed on the 2008-2009 AND 2009-2010 club rosters.
Can University of Texas intercollegiate athletes play on my team?
• Students that appear on a current team list for UT athletics are limited by the 2-person rule – only two of these individuals may be on any one Intramural team.
•If a University of Texas letter winner remains in school after NCAA eligibility has expired, he or she will be limited by the two-person rule in non-associate sports and is subject to the 2-person rule.
•If a letter winner quits a team and remains in school, he or she will be considered a varsity letter winner and be ineligible for that sport or associate sport and is subject to the 2 person rule.
•Students in the above categories must play in the highest division offered (Coed or Men's is the highest division offered for Texas Cup soccer). Current scholarship soccer players, walk-on and squad members are NOT eligible.
*Regular season begins on Monday, February 8th.
*All games are played at Whitaker Fields (WHI).
When does my team play?
*Once a week for 3 weeks on the day and time for which you registered.
TEAM CAPTAINS RESPONSIBILITIES
*Team captains are responsible for verifying that the full names and valid EIDs of all participants appear on the team roster and scorecards. Any name appearing on the scorecard may be counted as a participant in that contest. Team captains are responsible for signing each scorecard to confirm its accuracy.
*Team captains are responsible for the sportsmanship policy located in the rules packet and should be aware that poor sportsmanship may jeopardize future participation for their team.
*Team captains are responsible for maintaining contact with the Recreational Sports Office through the RecSports website with regard to registrations, schedules, results, playoffs, and reschedules. Captains are required to provide a valid email address as part of the registration process and agree to monitor that address on a regular basis during the competition season for which they registered. The Intramural Staff may communicate important information to all teams via email. Schedule information will not be provided over the phone.
*The information above is only a guide for team captains. Please consult the rules packet and/or the Intramural Policies and Procedures for a complete list of responsibilities*
