Since 1999, UT RecSports has hosted the Party on the Plaza on the Gregory Gym Plaza as a welcome to the students of The University of Texas. There will be games, food, fun and the largest student organization fair on campus with over 200 student orgs who want YOU to be their newest member. All proceeds collected the day of the event benefit the UT Student Emergency Fund. The Dean of Student's Office-Student Emergency Services maintains the support fund primarily to help students in emergencies or dire financial straits due to loss of income from tragic or catastrophic events.
