Location: Austin Greenbelt and Lady Bird Lake, Texas
Join the Adventure Trip Program as we hike Austin’s Barton Creek Greenbelt in the morning, break for lunch, then cool off by paddleboarding along Lady Bird Lake!
The Barton Creek Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile stretch of public land that begins in Zilker Park and extends southwest through Austin. The Greenbelt is an urban oasis with trails, beautiful limestone bluffs, and a flowing creek with swimming holes when water levels are high enough. Lady Bird Lake is a reservoir on the Colorado River with calm waters that flow through the heart of Austin. Paddling this stretch offers picturesque views of Austin parks, the hike and bike trail, Barton Creek, and the downtown skyline.
