Join the Adventure Trip Program for kayaking on the Texas coast! After camping Friday night, we will launch early Saturday morning from the Port O’Connor dock and paddle through the coastal area where we will set up camp.
This will be a physically rewarding trip that offers kayakers the unique opportunity to explore the beautiful mangroves and abundant wildlife only appreciated from the perspective of your kayak.
The Matagorda Island Seashore and Wildlife Management Area consists of 56,688 acres of offshore barrier island and bayside marshes which is operated as a wildlife management area, jointly owned by the Texas General Land Office and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and is cooperatively managed as the Matagorda Island National Wildlife Refuge and State Natural Area.
