I am currently a doctoral student at The University of Texas at Austin in the Kinesiology and Health Education department. More specifically, I am a part of the Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) program. My current research interests lie in Comprehensive School Physical Activity Programs (CSPAP) and the neuroscience behind physical activity and academic achievement. I am a three-time state champion in both volleyball and basketball. I taught physical education for three years at the secondary level in Gilbert, Arizona and have taught a culmination of classes including: strength and conditioning, group fitness, team sports, and lifetime fitness. I am very passionate about the human body and love nothing more than to educate individuals on how to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
