Indoor Volleyball

Announcements 
  • Play begins Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, at the Recreational Sports Center (RSC).     
  • Pool play is three weeks long. Teams will play once per week on the day and time for which they registered.
  • Due to career fairs held at the RSC, all teams will have a bye week from Jan. 28-Feb. 1. Games will resume on Feb. 4.
  • No games will be played on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024 (Super Bowl Sunday).
  • Roster additions will be available at the close of registration.   
  • Practice games will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams will be contacted with additional details.

  • Coed A and B
  • Men’s  
  • Women’s

Note: Players may play for one team only in this tournament, either Coed, Men’s, or Women’s, but not multiple teams.

Additionally, University of Texas Club Volleyball players from last year and this year are not eligible for Coed B. There are no exceptions nor appeals to this policy for Spring 2024.

Playoff Qualifying Policies​
  • All teams who finish in the top 50% of their pool will be placed in a single elimination bracket.
  • Teams must meet the minimum requirements for sportsmanship, regardless of record or place.
  • Players must participate in at least one pool play game to be eligible for elimination play.  
  • Teams must show up and play all scheduled pool play games to be eligible for the playoffs. 
Eligibility Exceptions
  • Scholarship athletes, letter winners, and squad members from any current UT Athletics team are limited to two per team.   
  • Current and former volleyball players from any college or university are not eligible.   
  • University of Texas Club Volleyball members (players and coaches) are limited to two per team and must play in the highest division offered – this includes all members listed on the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 club rosters.    
Rules of Play
  • Indoor Volleyball is played 6-on-6. Coed matches require three males and three females.
  • A minimum of 5 players is required to start a match. 
  • The maximum roster limit is 12. 
  • Intramural volleyball does not use a libero. 
  • Athletic apparel is required. 
  • Jewelry of any type is not permitted.
