Longhorn Honored with All-American Award

UT Handball competed at the 66th Annual United States Handball Association National Collegiate Championships in Springfield, Missouri and experienced great success! 

Kristen Hughes, the club's Vice President, was honored with an All-American Award. Kristen is a senior Kinesiology and Exercise Science major. 

From Coach Lee: 

"Kristen has been playing handball for three and a half years and thoroughly enjoys the sport. She plays about 15 handball tournaments a year and practices an average of 7 hours a week. At the Collegiate Nationals held in Springfield, Missouri, in February 2018, Kristen placed in the top 4 of American women playing in the Women's Open Division and consequently was awarded the All-American status. Not only does Kristen excel on the court, but she is also an incredible friend and coach to her teammates."

  • Alejandro Alamada, 10th Place Men's Finish 
  • Scarlett Smith, 11th Place Women's Finish
