Exploring Austin at the Greenbelt and Barton Springs Pool
Join the Adventure Trip Program as we hike part of Austin’s Barton Creek Greenbelt in the morning, break for lunch, then cool off with a dip in Barton Springs Pool!
The Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile stretch of public land that begins in Zilker Park and extends southwest through Austin. It is an urban oasis with trails, beautiful limestone bluffs, and a flowing creek with swimming holes when water levels are high enough. Barton Springs Pool is one of the crown jewels of Austin. The natural pool itself is 3 acres in size and is fed from underground springs with an average temperature of 68-70 degrees.
