SUP Yoga and Paddling at Lady Bird Lake

Trip Overview

Join us for a leisurely paddle on Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir on the Colorado River with calm waters that flow through the heart of Austin!  Paddling this stretch offers picturesque views of Austin parks, the hike and bike trail, Barton Creek, and the downtown skyline. 

We’ll start the morning exploring the waters on stand up paddle boards (SUP).  In the afternoon, we’ll take a break for a picnic lunch (provided) and SUP yoga!  One of our certified yoga instructors from the Fitness/Wellness program will lead the SUP yoga session.  This session is great for beginners, but everyone is likely to be challenged to maintain their balance on the board! We’ll continue paddling and exploring in the afternoon as time permits.

Pre-Trip Meeting

All participants must attend a mandatory pre-trip meeting on September 19, 2019 at 6:30pm. The meeting will take place at the Outdoor Center located inside Gregory Gym (GRE 2.104). 

Cancellation Information

Cancellations must be completed by September 13, 2019 at 5:00pm. No refunds will be given after this date. Refunds will be issued, minus a $10 administrative fee for those participants who cancel by the cancellation date.
