Registration for Spring 2017 classes opens January 2, 2017. 

Swim Lessons: Adult


Coached Swim
$70 (8 sessions)

A supervised swim workout designed for those who have developed the skills necessary to swim for fitness. Instructors will provide a workout to increase endurance and will help with technique and stroke mechanics. Participants must be able to swim continuously for 45 minutes with minimal stopping and know how to swim freestyle and backstroke efficiently. No make-up days for classes cancelled due to inclement weather.

Adult Beginner
$50 (8 sessions)

Designed for adults new to the water with minimal or no aquatic experience. The goal of this group class is to help individuals overcome fear of the water and to introduce fundamental aquatic skills and personal water safety. Skills introduced include water orientation, flutter kicking, floating and stroke development. No prerequisite.

Adult Intermediate - Front/Back Crawl
$70 (8 sessions)

This class provides guided instruction and practice for swimmers with limited swimming range and experience. Instructional skills include stroke techniques of front and back crawl, rotary breathing and proper swimming technique. Participants must be comfortable in water, have the ability to float on front and back and have minimal arm/leg coordination.

Adult Intermediate - Breaststroke

This class provides guided instruction and practice for swimmers with limited swimming range and experience. Instructional skills includes some stroke techniques of front and back crawl and mainly focuses on teaching and refining breaststroke. Participants must be comfortable in water and have the ability to swim 25 yards of front crawl.

Adult Advanced

Designed to provide instruction in stroke refinement in order to improve precision and speed. Emphasizes proper swimming technique and strength building exercises and fitness routines using lap swimming. Participants must be comfortable in water and have the ability to swim 50 yards of front crawl.
