Rainout Information for Intramural Events
The decision to postpone an intramural game due to adverse weather conditions is made after 4 p.m. on the day of the game. Team managers are urged to call RecSports staff at Whitaker Fields on game day to find out whether their game has been postponed.

Lightning Warning System
- In use at Clark Field, Clark Field Basketball Courts, Gregory Gym Aquatic Complex, Whitaker Fields and Whitaker Tennis Courts
- These systems are active during the published operating hours for each facility
How the lightning warning system works:
In the event of dangerous conditions, the lightning warning system will give one long horn blast for 15 seconds, accompanied by a flashing light. Once the dangerous conditions have passed, three short horn blasts (five seconds each) will sound and the flashing light will cease.
In the event of a system warning:
- Discontinue all activities
- Seek shelter in a building or automobile
- Avoid open areas, elevated ground, water and tall trees
- Avoid contact with metal fences and light poles
Facility will re-open when "all clear" has sounded.

Closing of the University
When the university closes due to inclement weather or other unforeseen emergencies, all recreational facilities will be closed, however, RecSports will make every effort to open Gregory Gym on a reduced schedule of 10 a.m.-6 p.m. The administrative offices will remain closed during this reduced operation of the facility. Scheduling information will be posted on the home page of the RecSports Web.
