Ellen Wyoming

Ellen Wyoming ('03 Geography) may be young, yet compared to most she's already led a lifetime of incredible adventure and achievement. She credits her work experiences as an Outdoor Recreation Program equipment manager, backpacking guide and climbing wall supervisor with her current love of working with people in the great outdoors. These experiences have helped her take advantage of amazing opportunities.

She has studied environmental sustainability in the Brazilian Amazon, worked as a Grand Canyon river guide, taught environmental science in Colorado and helped raise over $1M in local and federal funds for low-income business entrepreneurs. Now based in the Portland, Oregon area, Ellen currently serves on various boards of directors focused on community economic development, affordable housing and healthy food access. Ellen recently gave birth to her first child and has embarked on a new career in public affairs.
