Texas THON 2024

This past Sunday, March 3, Gregory Gym was alive with excitement, energy, and hope as Texas THON hosted its annual Dance Marathon. Each year, this event celebrates a year of fundraising efforts for Dell Children's Medical Center, uniting the Austin community to help provide children with necessary medical treatment and serve all families, regardless of their ability to pay. These efforts are spearheaded by UT students, known as Miracle Makers, who set their own fundraising goals and work collaboratively to engage the entire community on the Forty Acres and beyond.

This year, Texas THON raised $102,001.37. Several student organizations were highlighted for their fundraising efforts. The University Panhellenic Council and the Interfraternity Council each presented Texas THON with a $3,000 check onstage. The Hispanic Business Student Association was recognized for having the highest-raising team captain, and Alpha Epsilon Delta was honored as the top fundraising team.

To kick off the event, Dance Marathon attendees got their blood pumping with a Zumba class, led by a TeXercise instructor. Attendees were also treated to performances by student groups, including the Reggaeton Dance Club and the Punjabbawockeez, an all-male fusion team at UT that combines traditional Bhangra with modern hip-hop.

We are proud to partner with Texas THON and support the exceptional work that they do. We already can't wait to dance again in 2025!
