Eligibility and Membership

A sport club is a registered student organization, officially sponsored by the University through Recreational Sports, that develops and promotes interest in a particular sport.

Member Eligibility
  • Currently enrolled UT students.
  • UT faculty/staff with a current RecSports membership for clubs that choose to offer affiliate memberships.
  • One is not considered an official member of a club until a UTSCA Membership Packet has been digitally submitted and approved by RecSports staff.
  • To learn more about a specific club's membership requirements - contact the club directly.

Recreational Sports recognizes that sport-related student organizations may wish to seek membership in the University of Texas Sport Club Association (UTSCA). When applications are being accepted, the following link can be used to learn about sponsorship considerations and to apply for membership in the UTSCA:
