7-on-7 Soccer

Announcements  
  • Play begins Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, at the Wright-Whitaker Sports Complex (WWF). 
  • Pool play is three weeks long. Teams will play once per week on the day and time for which they registered. 
  • No games will be played on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024 (Super Bowl Sunday).
  • There are no “bye” weeks for this event.
  • Roster additions will be available at the close of registration. 
  • Practice games will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams will be contacted with additional details.

Divisions Offered  
  • Coed A and B   
  • Men's A and B    
  • Women's

Note: Players may play for one team only in this tournament, either Coed, Men’s, or Women’s, but not multiple teams.

Additionally, University of Texas Club Soccer players from last year and this year are not eligible for Coed B or Men’s B. There are no exceptions nor appeals to this policy for Spring 2024.

Playoff Qualifying Policies  
  • All teams who finish in the top 50% of their pool will be placed in a single elimination bracket.
  • Teams must meet the minimum requirements for sportsmanship, regardless of record or place.
  • Players must participate in at least one pool play game to be eligible for elimination play.  
  • Teams must show up and play all scheduled pool play games to be eligible for the playoffs. 
Eligibility Exceptions  
  • Scholarship athletes, letter winners, and squad members from any current UT Athletics team are limited to two per team.   
  • Current and former soccer players from any college or university are not eligible.   
  • University of Texas Club Soccer members (players and coaches) are limited to two per team and must play in the A league (or the highest division offered) – this includes all members listed on the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 club rosters.    
Rules of Play  
  • 7-on-7 Coed teams require 3 male and 3 female field players, and the goalkeeper can be either male or female.   
  • A minimum of 6 players must be present to start.   
  • The maximum roster limit is 15.   
  • Shin guards are not mandatory but are strongly recommended.  
  • Athletic apparel is required.  
  • Jewelry of any type is not permitted.
